I suffered a fairly severe setback when I was trying to install Linux on my system - complete loss of source :-( However, things are progressing slowly again. I am currently writing the program for protected mode to simplify handling the 6502 memory map. It should allow me to do straight reads & writes to the map. Projected beta release is the end of January.

Protected mode seems to be a fairly complex way to start, so I have ploughed ahead with reconstructing my old code. Currently the emulator has all of the 6502 implemented, but there are problems with a few instructions. The memory organization (ROMSEL & SHEILA) are operational, although a fair part of the sheila map is unimplemented. The main system VIA is more or less operational. The standard graphics mode support is partially complete, but the design will allow split screen emulation to work correctly, and also split palettes. Projected release date for beta testing is early Feb (sorry about the delay - my university workload has increased).
